2016 Hiroshima/Nagasaki Events Calendar with Hibakusha and Downwinder Testimonies

TeDear Friends,

For the past 35 years, the Hiroshima/Nagasaki Peace Committee of the National Capital Area has been organizing for the abolition of nuclear weapons and nuclear power, and in support of nuclear victims. We believe that if the world is to avoid repeating the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we must strive to keep alive the memory of the bombings.

This year we welcome a Hibakusha from Hiroshima and a downwinder from St. George, UT.
Mr. Toshiyuki Mimaki, Hiroshima Hibakusha, is Vice President of Hiroshima Prefectural Hidankyo and a former Executive Board member of Nihon Hidankyo, The Confederation of A & H Bomb Survivors Organizations. He is also an active farmer.

Mr. Dennis Nelson, Director of Support and Education for Radiation Victims (SERV) U.S.A., is a Downwinder from St. George Utah. He & his wife Denise Nelson provide information regarding radiation exposures to victims worldwide.

Please add these atomic bombing commemoration events to your calendar. And, please forward this message widely to your community.

In Struggle,
John Steinbach
